Newton Abbot Museum

The museum opened in 2020 as part of Newton’s Place, an accessible community building celebrating the heritage of the local area and its people. It has a wide range of vibrant, themed displays revealing the history of Newton Abbot and the surrounding areas, including objects from prehistory, local trades and industries, clothing and costume, the First and Second World Wars, plus a special section dedicated to the Great Western Railway.
The museum galleries and community rooms host a full and ever-changing programme of activities and workshops. Please see the website for details of our opening hours, events and temporary exhibitions.
