The Meadowside Charity

Meadowside provides 24-hour permanent residential care for 11 adults, who either have learning disabilities or are frail elderly. Many of the residents also have physical disabilities and complex care requirements. Some of the residents have lived at the home for over 30 years and they all live together as a family, in a fun, happy, and caring environment. There are also members of the charity, who either live with relatives in the Teignbridge area or in sheltered housing. They can use Meadowside as a ‘safe’ house and come along to various social events that are held throughout the year, including the Christmas party.

The Cwtch Hub

They are a not-for-profit Community Interest Company with one big mission: to build a space that feeds people—not just with good food, but with chances, creativity, and connection. They serve affordable, delicious meals with a side of solidarity. They showcase local legends and back bold new businesses. They believe culture isn’t something distant or fancy, but something to live, share, and stir into everything they do. They are a launchpad, a kitchen table, a stage, and a second home—all rolled into one chaotic, joyful hub of possibility.
